Web Form & Click-to-Chat for Mesvilo

Collect enquiries from your website and start WhatsApp chats — and know where every enquiry began (page URL, referrer, UTM parameters). Contacts are created or updated in Mesvilo so your team can follow up from the inbox. Submitting a web form does not automatically grant marketing consent.

Install

1. Copy the web-form-click-to-chat folder into addons/ of your Mesvilo installation.

2. Run php artisan migrate (creates the web_form_click_to_chat_* tables).

3. Platform admin → Add-ons → enable Web Form & Click-to-Chat.

4. Rebuild the front-end assets if you build them yourself (npm run build) so the add-on's Tailwind classes are included.

Users with the *Import & edit contacts* permission see Web forms in the sidebar.

Web forms

• Builder with name, phone (always required), email, message and custom text / dropdown / checkbox fields. Custom fields can be saved to a contact field (e.g. company).
• Optional marketing consent checkbox: separate, unticked by default. Only a ticked box sets the contact to *opted in* with a timestamp; otherwise consent is left unchanged (new contacts stay *unknown*).
• Tags and segment to apply, success message or redirect URL, default country code for local numbers.
• Team follow-up: assign the conversation to a teammate and add a conversation note with the answers, page and UTM.
• Optional WhatsApp follow-up: one approved Utility template is sent to the number the visitor entered (marketing templates cannot be selected; blocked or opted-out contacts are skipped).
• Publish via the hosted page /f/{id}, an iframe embed (passes the page URL and UTM in, auto-resizes) or a plain HTML form you can style yourself.
• Public submissions are protected by a honeypot field, a rate limit (6 per minute per visitor and form) and server-side validation. Public IDs are random 20-character strings.

The script has no dependencies and renders inside a shadow root. Configure the WhatsApp number, prefilled message ({page_title}, {page_url}), button text, colour, bottom-left/right position, mobile/desktop visibility and an optional greeting bubble. Each click opens https://wa.me/<number>?text=… and is recorded with page, title, referrer, device and UTM.

Submissions & stats

The Submissions tab lists every enquiry with contact, form, source page, referrer and UTM, links to the contact and conversation, filters by form/source, and exports CSV. Stats show submissions and clicks for the last 30 days per form and button, plus top sources.
