Birthday & Special Days — Mesvilo add-on

Automatic WhatsApp greetings for birthdays, anniversaries, membership dates and fixed calendar days (e.g. New Year).

Install

1. Copy birthday-special-days/ into addons/ of your Mesvilo installation.

2. Admin → Add-ons → enable Birthday & Special Days (its tables are created on enable / php artisan migrate).

3. Make sure the Mesvilo cron (php artisan mesvilo:work, every minute) is running — greetings are sent from it.

Usage

• Special days → New occasion: pick a *date on each contact* (custom field key, birthday by default — any field holding a date works, e.g. member_since) or a *fixed calendar day*. Choose "on the day" or N days before, the send time (workspace timezone) and optional segments/tags.
• Pick an approved MARKETING template (greetings usually arrive outside the 24-hour window). Map variables to contact name, occasion name/date, years (age / anniversary count) or fixed text.
• Optional header: a generated branded design (1200×628 JPEG), an uploaded image (JPG/PNG ≤ 5 MB) or video (MP4 ≤ 16 MB). The template must be approved with a matching image/video header. Meta downloads the media from a signed public link valid for 7 days (/special-days/media/{id}), so your APP_URL must be publicly reachable over HTTPS.
• Contact dates: view/edit dates inline or import a CSV (phone,birthday). Accepted formats: YYYY-MM-DD, MM-DD, DD.MM.YYYY, DD/MM/YYYY. Dates are stored normalized as YYYY-MM-DD (or MM-DD).
• Upcoming: next 30 days of greetings, plus a test-send form. History: every send with Meta's error code if it failed.

Rules: only opted-in, unblocked contacts are greeted; each contact at most once per occasion and year; Feb 29 dates are greeted on Feb 28 in non-leap years.

Personalized image/video generation is sold separately. If the *Personalized Image* add-on is installed and enabled, its templates can be chosen as header; otherwise the option is disabled.

Permission: campaigns.send (editing contact dates also needs contacts.manage).
